About The Northside Division of MIBOR.... The Northside Division of MIBOR is an organization that was formed to enhance all aspects of the real estate business. In addition to encouraging participation and support of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® through knowledge, growth and community service among its members, the Northside Division of MIBOR has several philanthropic endeavors which include the Coburn Place Safe Haven, The REALTOR® Foundation, and the Real Estate Academy of Leadership (R.E.A.L). Coburn Pace Safe Haven.... Coburn Place Safe Haven provides women and their children a chance to start anew, to accomplish a dream that an abusive partner and circumstances prevented. Northside MIBOR has a long-standing, supportive relationship with Coburn Place Safe Haven that we support financially with contributions from our Annual Platinum Sponsors, our one-time event sponsors, and 50/50 raffles. Additionally, we support Coburn Place Safe Haven by collecting much-needed items that are on their wish list. All contributions are greatly appreciated. The REALTOR® Foundation.... The REALTOR® Foundation was founded in 1984 by the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS®. The REALTOR® Foundation is committed to fighting the serious problem of homelessness in central Indiana. Its vision is simple, "To transition central Indiana individuals from homelessness or inadequate or unsafe housing to permanent solutions that will positively change their lives." The Northside Division of MIBOR is committed to helping the REALTOR® Foundation in our own way. We support it financially with contributions from our Annual Platinum Sponsors, the one-time event sponsors, and the 50/50 raffles. In 2007 our members gave a very generous contribution of $3,000.00 to The REALTOR® Foundation. We believe that everyone should have a home! Real Estate Academy of Leadership (R.E.A.L).... Founded in 1995, the Real Estate Academy of Leadership is a proactive effort to identify individuals from MIBOR's membership who have leadership interest and potential. MIBOR's goal is to help prepare candidates to be successful leaders in the real estate profession and in the central Indiana community. R.E.A.L. is a dynamic training program designed to expose participants to the principles of leadership as well as issues and trends in the community. The Northside Division of MIBOR encourages our members who are actively involved in northside events and committees to apply to R.E.A.L. If accepted, Northside MIBOR gives $100 scholarships to each of its members who have graduated from the R.E.A.L. program and have shown active participation in Northside MIBOR.
